The first “Calling Back the Salmon” Festival was held on October 5 & 6 at McBean Park. Sponsored by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation, the Salmon Festival brings the Lincoln community together “to learn about and celebrate the ecological health of Auburn Ravine and to make a ‘call’ to the Salmon that once thrived there.”

Today is the first day of Autumn. If we usually say, “Spring has sprung,” do we also say, “Fall has fallen?”
The signs of autumn are apparent: earlier sunsets, cooler nights and the leaves are beginning to change color. Oh yeah, the stores also have Christmas stuff on the shelves.
