“Rodeo City” came to life on the outskirts of Lincoln this weekend as the District 3 of the California High School Rodeo Association opened its season.
The rodeo arena grounds filled with horse trailers, campers and RVs as junior and senior high school students (and families) gathered to compete in categories such as bull riding, steer wrestling, cutting, barrel racing and roping.
High School Rodeo is on Saturday and Sunday, starting around 8:00 a.m. and finishing after the last rider. Spectator admission is free and food and drink concessions are available at the arena.
More information about high school rodeo is available at the CHRA website.
